Brad D. WeissPartnerBRAD D. WEISS is a graduate of the George Washington University and George Mason University (J.D., 1982), where he served as an editor on the George Mason University Law Review (and authored "Gulf Offshore Corp vs. Mobil Oil Corp.: Jurisdiction within the Meaning of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands," 5 GMU L. Rev. 478 (1982)). Mr. Weiss is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York and is admitted to practice before numerous federal district and appellate courts including the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Weiss has represented national and international businesses in corporate, employment and complex commercial litigation. Mr. Weiss has also focused on Recording Artists and Producers, automotive manufacturer/dealer disputes, vehicle allocation, new point protests and antitrust issues. He has also worked with corporate clients on insurance matters, defined benefit litigation, financial and insurance fraud, employment law issues (including Title VII litigation), organizational matters (including buy-sell agreements), commercial financing, aircraft acquisitions and financing, and real estate transactions (including construction agreements, zoning, licensing and financing). Additionally, Mr. Weiss represents artists and labels in commercial transactions, copyright issues and litigation. Mr. Weiss has represented a New York Label, Boston artists and an American Idol contestant. Mr. Weiss belongs to the Arlington County, Pennsylvania, Virginia State, Maryland State, New York State, District of Columbia and American Bar Associations.
